Serving the Lord is the greatest privilege one can have in life, and even the simplest thing we do for His work has special value to God; but we cannot serve with pride nor trusting in our own strength and abilities, but by humbling ourselves, recognizing that without Him we are nothing, that everything we achieve and do comes because of God.
It is there, in humiliation, where willingness is born and promises are made to serve a God whose grace we do not deserve, but who in love gives us His blessings, and in gratitude we raise our hand as a sign of willingness to serve Him and do His will to the end.
Isaiah 6:8
Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.
