Humility
Humility is recognizing one's own need for God and depending on His grace without pretension. The Lord looks upon the contrite heart and teaches that whoever humbles themselves like a child is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
In the life of the church, humility opens the way to repentance, forgiveness, and restoration of the fallen brother. Humbling oneself before God allows receiving His favor, building others up in love, and maintaining the harmony that strengthens the Christian witness.
Micah 6:8
He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?
He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?
