Obedience

Obeying God is the test of genuine love for Christ and living faith. It is not enough to know the truth: His commandments must be kept and biblical instructions followed that guide the believer's and the church's life.

Doctrine teaches that the Holy Spirit is given to those who obey, and that effective prayer also requires obedience. Walking in obedience opens the way to spiritual power, strengthens witness, and allows the church to fulfill its mission with integrity.

Acts 5:32

And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him.
